Protocol test case development and execution environment is integrated onto RF test hardware such as a Base Station Simulator for testing over the air interface. The diagram below shows how TTworkbench — from Testing Technologies GmbH — integrates into a Base Station Simulator.

Core Network (SAE/IMS) Test

In addition to this, ready-made TTCN-3 Test Suites exist for SIGTRAN, IPv6, SAE/IMS, H.248 (MEGACO), DIAMETER, SIP/VoIP and Presence.
